Whether the Built-in Water Tank is Necessary for Industrial Chiller

When you tell the cooling capacity of chiller to the chiller manufacturers, they will help you choose the chiller model and also ask whether need built-in stainless steel insulated water tank in the chiller or not ? An insulated water tank is usually equipped to buffer the thermal load of the industrial chiller and is necessary for the chiller.There are two types of water tank for chiller : one is built-in type of water tank, the other type is an external type of water tank.How to choose them ?

Built-in type of water tank :A chiller with a built-in tank is easier to install an d can be used simply by connecting a water pipe to your application. Built-in type of water tank is suitable to use in 1HP to 60HP scroll chiller .But it has a limited capacity and is not suitable for applications with larger chilled water demands.If you choose built-in type of water tank for your chiller ,the chiller is with stainless steel coil in water tank evaporator (see below picture).

External type of water tank:External tank’s capacity can be customized according to specific needs from 1000 Liters to 10000 Liters. It can buffer a larger heat load, store more chilled water, but the installation will be more troublesome.If you choose external type of water tank for your chiller ,the chiller is with shell and tube evaporator or Stainless steel plate type evaporator(see below picture).

In a word ,if you don’t have external water tank at your site and you also request bigger tank for your chiller ,we suggest you use built-in water tank inside our industrial chiller ,which is easy installation and save space and cost .If want to know more information ,welcome to conact us by email :[email protected]
